Nursing Theories In The Philippines

by isa25

Hello nurses! I'm currently researching on Nursing Theories in the Philippines. Anyone know anything about the N.T. development and nursing theory books that are currently used in the Philippines? I know so far the Philippine nursing educational system are adapting the American system; theories and practice. I am one of many other international students with assigned countries from different parts of the world. I would appreciate if there is something you could share, any links you could refer me to. Thank you very much!

I don't really remember seeing a book about Phil. N.T. .... however, in the Philippines, we have rich history of nursing, way back during spanish era..I remember this, because we had it in our NCM 100..where it tells you the nursing stuff back in those time, and how things are done by Filipino nurses..maybe try research, or google nursing in the philippines in the 1800s to 1900s. I think most of our nursing theories are based from American views, and it's always been like that. check your school libraries too, and maybe talk the librarian, maybe she/he have better idea.
