They did not pass any such bill, this is how rumors get started. If one takes the time to actually read what was written by them, it is concerned 100% with the program that is thru Excelsior College, and nothing more than that. This same program is not accepted by several other states as well, including CA. This all has to do with the way that the students enrolled in Excelsior obtain their clinical hours, nothing more than that.
The four year programs in the Philippines meet the requirements for licensure in all 50 states provided that the school offers all of the required courses.
Georgia has just changed their rulings on graduates from this one specific program, and nothing more than that.
And there is not one thing anywhere on their site that states that they are not accpepting foreign nurses. Nor does it state anything about anyone from the Philippines.
You need to read the entire website and not just pick out statements that have no bearing on anything else.
Please be very careful when you do something like this, especially when it is not true at all.
