New Jersey has made changes

by suzanne4 Platinum Member

New Jersey no longer requires the CGFNS exam, only the CES. Effective 01/05/06. See the website for the latest Bulletins.

So no more worrying about review centers.

Usually, the agencies are the last ones to hear about this. Best bet for everyone is to e-mail the NJ BON or better yet let your Aunt call them up. I think that won't be much of a hustle.

The application packets aren't revised yet but here's a link to their news bulletin.

Hi Ms. Suzzane, judging from the posts and threads I have read here, seems you are the person to inquire with. I am an NCLEX passer and an RN licensed in Northern Marianas. I do not have CGFNS.I have applied for the endorsement of my License to NJ.Already submitted the requirements and paid the fees. They have written that they need my immigration status. Which is actually still in process.I'm only in my packet 3. It's been more than a year since I applied for the endorsement.I have written the NJ BON several times informing them that my petition is still in process. A friend told me that the BON forfiets payments and applications if it's been more than a year and I have not completed the additional paperworks requested.Just worried my payment will be forfieted and have to fill up new application forms again.

I wonder which report level of the CES Service does the NJ BON requires, the Full Education Course-By-Course Report or the Healthcare Profession & Science Course-By-Course Report? Thanks!

Hi there. Welcome to allnurses.com.

CA didn't require the CGFNS exam for quite sometime now and NY only requires the CVS (credential evaluation service). Pls take some time in reading the stickies here and in the Int'l forum (www.allnurses.com/forums/f75). You'll find out most of the information you need and the website links you should know on the stickies and if you need further clarifications just start a thread appropriately in the Filipino forum and in the Int'l forum. Note that topics and issues not pertaining to the Philipinnes should be appropriately posted in the Int'l forum.

Welcome again. Just remember to post responsibly and do not use the forums here to spread rumors and hearsays that maybe damaging to Filipino Nurses reputation.

Please post in English here, Tagalog is not permitted.
As per the Terms of Service of this forum that you agreed to abide by.

NY and CA have not required the CGFNS exam in years, that is why there have always been so many applying to both.

And if you would have bothered to take a closer look at that link, it is over 16 months old, and says so right there. Information is always changing. Please do some research yourself first, before arguing with someone here.
