need advice from more experienced nurses... ^_^

HI!
I have a few questions...

It's been a year since i passed the board exam, I have an IVT license, BLS and first aid trainings, and I recenetly finished my 6mos training at a gov. hosp here in QC... I feel really competent after my training...

1. Even though I have good credentials and 6mos hosp experience, its still hard to find a hospital that's open to hiring nurses w/ or w/out experience... do you guys know any hosp in manila open for nurses? or any company hiring nurses?

2. Since it's hard to find a job these days, do you guys recommend that i take exams like NCLEX or IELTS or CG? lots of my friends are doing this since they dont have anything else to do...

3. I recently inquired, with a friend of mine, to this agency... they hire nurses as PDN... though they require you to pay 2000 membership fee... Is working as a PDN worth it? is anyone a PDN? have any advice for me?

and also, my dad has tihs notion that nurses are only supposed to work in hospitals and is discouraging me to be a PDN even though i told him its only temporary and ill quit once i get a job at a hospital... I dont know what im supposed to do...

4. and is it true that nurses like us can take the midwife board exam? without studying for midwifery? using my school records from nursing school?

thanks and i hope someone will answer my questions... ^_^

Well, for me I would only take this exams if I am prepared and sanely serious about going abroad, more specifically, USA.. Ielts has a 2 yr expiration period so it will be invalid after the time frame..
With your situation and if given that you have an agency that would help you, with absolute certainty, find a job in the US, I will take NCLEX.
