Thank you for clearing things up.
Its the same case as Lung Center of the Philippines. I hope those hospitals are happy with what they are earning. Haha. Anyway, do you know about those on the top 10 of the training as what an earlier post says? Thanks.

I have recently graduated from the BST. You guys have to undergo the same process of applying after that but be warned...

those who get to the final stage should have a backer to get in. Well reality bites.

How will they choose the top 10? Do they have grading system for that?

Hi Juella! I'm already done with IVt from heart center but have not started with my completion (cases) yet. I still want to get in at NKTI but I'm afraid I might lose a slot because it's already November.

To those who have undergone BST at NKTI....

What is the process for selecting the trainees? DO they have qualifying exams/interviews etc.?

When do we accomplish the HbsAg and Chest Xray...do we have to do this right after being selected and paying the initial payment? How much is the BST fee now?

hello my dear piguant! it's nice to hear from you. very good. we are now done with the IVT training. like you am also for completion. i am scheduled next weekend. once filed at ANSAP we have to wait for 1-2 months, with some 2-3 months before the IVT license will be released. NKTI NEEDS the IVT license. Certificates and other proofs will not be accepted.

and here's the thing..... i went yesterday at NKTI, asked personally about the training, again. There are 4 batches for year 2010. 4 months each batch. unfortunately, the January-April 2010 shcedule is already filled-up. April-July Batch is almost on its way. July-October is in line to open likewise the Oct-Dec. and yes, the application for the whole year of 2010 is now, November 2009. And reality bites that it's already November 2009. From the info that i got, it's like 100-120 trainees per batch. X-rays and hepa thing will be accomplished once you are accepted in the registration process. 1000.00 downpayment (non-refundable) is needed and the rest shall be paid before your training starts. as for the exams and interviews i have no idea yet. i hope someone could help us on that.

honestly, am starting to lower down my expectation of being accepted in the training for 2010. chances are VERY low. our IVT license will surely be released next year.

to my fellow readers, if you find anything that is incorrect with the update, please feel free to correct it.

sorry for this late response, i was so tired after the ivt training that i didnt get to online. accdg to my friend, well im still not sure of it because it was lik just passed on from her that its like any training program, lecturing quiz and demo. so i guess choosing the top 10 will be based on grades like you said official02.

still i wish you luck =) i hope what i had written helps you.=)

Thanks for the info juella! I didnt know that nurses could register for the whole batch of 2010, I initially thought the registration for this November would be for those wanting to join the January batch. Thanks for clearing that up.
