Please advise. Thanks!!!
good for you you already had your IVT. we are on the same situation. the thing is, almost all accredited hospitals for IVT seemed to be packed with nurses like us for their IVT trng. where did you had your IVT if i may ask? the soonest i could have is november and submission of reqts in NKTI is on november only. it's really very frustating. may you also ask your friend (or backer) in NKTI if it's okay to have IVT in November and pass just the certificate first? thanks

hi juella! i havent taken the IVTtraining yet. Once I get my PRC ID, i'll visit the nearest hospital that holds the training.

I hope we'll be lucky!! I'll pass my requirements on Novermber, whether or not theyre complete (it's impossible to have the IVT card bec they can only issue the card 1-2months after completion). I'll see if my backer can do anything....

Good evening!

In what areas do trainees will be assigned? Are there any special area? What are the chances that a trainee will be hired after the training. Thank you for the prompt reply.

hi piguant. if i may ask, did you went to PRC last oct 2? my schedule is Oct 5 & hoping that i'll get my ID though i know it seems impossible. if you were again scheduled for oct 6, i wonder when could mine be. and yes, i hope that we'll have our training in NKTI this January. It's the IVT that concerns me the most. sometimes, i would want to bring a tape recorder saying why our ID's were released that late. some people kept on asking why. we just have to hold on to our hopes.

to start of, NKTI is a great hospital. The facilities are great, the place is clean etc. well you get the idea. As for the training, I am not familiar with that. back in 2007, I was ready to pay for the 20+K just to get the 6months training. Looking back, I'm glad I did not. Lot's of y friends who underwent that program got nowhere to go from there. Well I think it depends on your performance. goodluck.

So, only those who are exemplary during will be hired? No chances for the rest? In what areas are the trainees assigned? Thank you.

Thanks for the inputs trezce! are you referring to the Dialysis Management Course? Me and juella are just new grads/fresh board passers and we dont qualify for DMC yet, we are applying for Basic Nursing Skills Training.

I also would want DMC, but it's so expensive!! plus...it requires 6mo bedside experience at 150bed capacity hospital.

@juella. Yes, I went there October 2. My friend who was also scheduled that day was able to claim her ID. some were lucky. I'm not sure how they processed the PRC ID's..if it was random, or they processed those who came in early during the registration. I dont think they could explain WHAT HAPPENED. They just said sorry. What do we get from sorry? Nothing. *sorry offtopic*

I dont want to even consider joining NKTI on their second batch of 2010...
dont want to wait that long. *sigh*
