@ 0628:
Hi! I just registered for the BST program at NKTI. I have submitted all the requirements including the chest x-ray and hepa b surface antigen...however, they asked me to get a hepa b surface antibody(titer). Did you also submit that or just the one that says you're "non-reactive"?

I already paid the P1000 last Thursday, too. It just pains me that they should've posted hepa b surface antibody in the first place so it doesn't double what you're going to pay...My last dose for hepa b was the 3 doses that I have taken almost 3 years ago...

the reason why they are asking for the hepa b titer is to know the level of your immunity against hepa B. if they find out it below the line then a booster dose is mandatory. better comply to it as it is for your own protection.

Hello..
Is it true that when you are applying at NKTI for the BST training theres only one specific date for application.? And you should go there very early because it is a first come first serve basis.? And if you dont have any backer there, you cannot be accepted easily for there training.? I need some clarifications.
Please share your experience.. Thank You very much

@ Tobby_Walter:
Yeah, that might be the case. And I can't blame them since they are only protecting their trainees as well. Needle-prick would be very common to NKTI so I guess it's best to be immune to Hepa B. Anyway, I got my results yesterday and my Hepa B surface Antibody result is positive! Yey that means I don't need shots anymore. =)

@ JesJay:
Hi Jesjay. Unfortunately, the training for August 31-Dec 2009 batch is already closed. I registered a week ago and when I went there yesterday to submit my HBsAB result, they told me that it's already closed. Registration for January 2010 isn't until November of this year, but I guess it's best to register earlier than that.

@ Cucumber:
Hi cucumber, I registered for BST last May 21, 2009. No, there is no specific date to apply. It's just that they accept applications on Tuesdays and Thursdays within 9am to 11am only. I don't have a backer. They will only entertain you if you have complete requirements. I went there on a Tuesday at around 8:30am and I was the only one there. Just a tip, though, make sure that you register at least 4 months before the next batch. (Yeah, I once inquired about the training last April and they told me that there are already 50+ who registered for the August 31-December 2009 batch).

Hope this helps! =)
