the salary / compensation is confidential and is dependent on your status.

there are three status: casual (1st 3 months) probationary (3-6 months) and regular (6 months onward). the compensation is affected by many factors, like no. of duty days, hours of duties, overtime, night differentials, hazard pay (special area) etc. but for casual employees they are offered the basic salary (manila rate). it is low because when you're casual, you're not entitled for off w/ pay unlike probi's who receive about 10k up monthly because they have off w/ pay. regulars on the other hand are entitled for vacation leave w/ pay, monthly allowance etc.

also, at times like this, experience counts most. and where in the philippines can you earn so much being nurse anyway?

as to post above, the wellness section is responsible for assisting well people undergo their routinary diagnostic procedures as part of their wellness program as suggested by their physician. this is what you call executive checkups. anciallary is different, if i am not mistaken, they are responsible for a particular diagnostic exam only. im not an ancillary nurse so correct me if im wrong. i work in a special area by the way.

Hello everyone. There seems to be a mystery with the drop box procedure. I tried submitting my requirements last December but they did not ask for my documents and there was no drop box. Instead, they directed me to the HR room where there is a computer in which you have to put your name, school, and contact details. Since they have not called until now, I am afraid that they just pick applicants randomly regardless of the applicant's credentials. My friend who accompanied me applied a few weeks before and said that he used the drop box then. He now fears that the documents he placed in the drop box were just discarded since he saw a mountain of envelopes/documents (that appear to be those that were placed in the drop box by the applicants) where the drop box was previously located.

I hate their process. Why would they just pick randomly among the envelopes submitted? They should have screened first the resume. Maybe they should have a screening examination so that their applicants would be trimmed. Just want to voice out my complaints.

I feel the same way. Not being paranoid, but think about it, if you were the HR, and you see the mountain of envelopes that we saw (which is equal to the number of applicants they have to consider for limited positions), wouldn't it be tempting to just pick the envelopes randomly? After all its a lot easier than browsing through all the resumes. And what's even better is to just ask the unsuspecting applicants to type in their contact numbers - no mountain of envelopes, more space, no "garbage". The problem with their new system is that it is open for editing. You just type your contact details at an MS Excel sheet along with the rest of the applicants. A new applicant could easily edit/delete contact details of other applicants or move his/her name on top of the list. I am actually beginning to feel that the whole hiring system is a big joke.

first and foremost, tell me a single hospital that has a hiring process not similar to this one? it surprises me to find people astonished of the mountainous documents they see considering the amounts of applicants who apply each and every single day. second, if you're thinking your credentials are too good to just be ignored while being unemployed for over a lifetime, then i highly suggest you to think it over and over again. probably, you're still not worth the call (and don't be too personal, it's purely business, there's a lot better than you). about the random selection, i myself, believe that this is true, otherwise, i should have been hired a year ago credential wise (joke!). but then, "LUCK", my friends, is man's best asset. third, the drop box worked and it still works, im a living proof. regarding the computer inputting thing, i didn't experience it but then, at this very moment, sad to say, the human resource dep is currently closed for hiring. but if they do hire, probably these are the people with influential connection inside the human resource department or simply, the lucky ones! again, if your ranting about the hiring process or the "palakasan" system, well, get used to it. anyway, pointless dithering has been proven to accomplish nothing but to satisfy an idle mind and fill in worthless time.

currently, there are 2 new buildings being constructed as an extension of the hospital. after the construction, probably, they will again open up the doors for a massive professional hiring. goodluck!

hi, i'm just new here..and i'm just wondering if anyone knows what are the coverage of the exam in the medical city? i just received a call from them that i am scheduled for an examination. the hr told me that it is a 100 item exam and i must get at least 75 to qualify...hope u can help me...thanks :wink2:
