Hong Kong To Close As A Testing Center???

Is it true that Hongkong will be closed?...that it will just finish those who had been listed until March? Please enlighten me? A friend of mine said that someone told her that the news came from the States? Is it true??I don't want to believe it. So anybody who has an idea?Just want to know because I am planning to take my Nclex in Hong Kong, because I know it is cheaper compared to other testing center...I dont know if Saipan is cheaper or South Korea..but maybe, I should start to consider both of them.

I have not heard of this. If their will be any official news regarding this is that it should be posted in www.ncsbn.org.

Hopefully, this is not true. Right now, it should be treated as plain rumor until an official word comes out from ncsbn.

NCSBN knows that majority of the foreign nurses who take the NCLEX are Filipinos and they would not do that. This is just a rumor.

One more rumor added to the rumor mill...................unless you see actual documented proof on the Pearson-Vue website about this, or any other locale, do not believe it.

But it is always a smart idea to have another site in your mind, in case that you cannot get a date in a realistic time in Hong Kong.

Stop and think..............please.
There is no way to confirm that it is closing because it is not happening. It would be posted on the Pearson-Vue site if it were going to, and it has not happened and is not going to.

If I got $1 US for every rumor that has started in Manila, I could retire as a multi-milllionaire by now.

Please take the time to do some research on your own before sending up more smoke signals with more rumors. You just add fuel to the fire by perpetuating these ridiculous things.

And I have much better use of my time than to do your research for you.

Please be considerate of others here.

Suzanne is definitely right!!! just a piece of unsolicited advice, if any concern has already been clearly addressed, pls be more considerate and sensible before posting and insisting on what you have heard as rumors. This will just waste time, create more worries, and honestly, annoy everyone else here, especially those planning to take up or already lined up to sit for NCLEX in HK next year, reading a negative news of baseless source...let's help each other by being more objective and factual in a forum such as this. God bless us all...

The above poster is right. Waste of time discussing this further as any official news should come from either ncsbn or pearsonvue's website and there is none.

Right now, as of my current count there are many Int'l testing sites in the asia-pacific region aside from HK. There's Taiwan, Seoul, Japan, Australia and Saipan.
