do you know any hospitals that conduct free training? hospitals mentioned above were quite expensive.

You might wanna try Paranaque Doctors Hospital. Some of my batch mates are currently working there. They Conduct free training w/ allowance of P150/day. Then after few months and observation on your performance you're status will be upgraded as well as the salary.

So far this is the hospital I know in metro manila that is hiring and have to pay nothing for trainings etc.

While jobless and waiting for call from hospitals, i suggest attending seminars and trainings offered by PHC,PGH,PNA,Nat'l kidney,MCM etc..

hi there.. I worked in a private hospital for almost 9 mos, then they gave me a vacation break, then didn't resume me from my job. the reason for these is "end of contract".
Even i have worked experienced, its hard for me to find a job. most of the hospitals are looking for 1 year experience.
Now I'm planning to take ACLS while waiting for the call back from hospitals I applied.

Any suggestions or information where I can train & how much it cost?

Thanks

Philippine Heart Center Offers ACLS..I'm not sure with the price, i think it's P2k+,Philippine Nurses Association offers ACLS too. Just check you BLS cert if still valid 'coz what i know is it should be renewed every year.Philippine Nat'l RED cross offers BLS for only P1100.

From what I know, you will not be accepted as trainee without a license. It would be too risky to hire someone without a license, they'll prefer someone who has it. And I haven't heard hospitals who hires unlicense trainee. And the mere fact that there are already lots of licensed nurses who can't even accepted as trainee, what more an unlicense, right?

Currrent number enrolled in schools there has now topped the 950,000 mark. Even with about 45% passing of the NLE, and someone actually getting thru their program in the first place; it is going to be almost impossible to get hired anywhere. There just are not that many positions in your country for them and without experience they are going to find it very hard to get to another country to work.

The US has not increased the number of visas that it issues per year and with more and more finishing, it is going to be that much more difficult to even find a job anyplace.

Best of luck in finding a job and remember that most places do not consider training or volunteer programs as actual work experience, and also going to another country to work as a caregiver does not count as experience as well.
