hello to you, julien.

people here will be glad to help you. just be patient and keep on exploring this forum and the international forum. for nclex review, jump to the nclex review forum here and you will learn a lot about effective study preparation for the exam.

the requirements for RN licensure in the US are set by the Board of Nursing (BON) or licensure authority of each state. for graduates of nursing programs outside the US, some states require cgfns exam, others don't (such as CA). some require a credentials evaluation service (CES) such as Illinois/Florida/Maryland/Texas and recently New Jersey, while new york requires a credentials verification service (CVS). some states also require an English test result (TOEFL/IELTS). these requirements must be met before you will be considered for eligibility by the BON to sit for the NCLEX-RN.

now, in which state in the US do you intend to live and work? i understand from you that you want to join your parents. where are they in the US?

also, are you in metro manila? you said that you worked 3 years ago, did you work as a nurse in a hospital? how long did you work? when did you graduate?

Hi, I graduated 10 years ago, before I entered this site, I was eyeing for cgfns exam but when I learned about this site and explored, I realized that taking nclex is better than cgfns and I am thankful for our buddies here. Though I haven't applied for nclex yet but I am sure I will be taking it, just don't know where in the US.
