Re: Got unforgettable hospital bloopers? Share it.
when we were 3rd year students we were assigned 10-6am at the ER. So in the middle of the night a v/a patient comes in all bloody and unconsious, the nurse was running around, and we were confused at what's happening, and our CI was somewhere else, we don't know where. So the nurse was like, "Get me an RD! NOW!" And two of my friends started looking for an RD in the Emergency cart, saying" it's not here, it's not here!" The nurse got impatient so she hit the intercom and told Information to get her an RD.
When the patient was finally admitted to the wards I asked my friends what they were looking for in the emergency cart, and I reminded them that RD means "Resident Doctor"..lol!
.......
and then there was that time a younger student nurse was asking if her ward could borrow the CSR's autoclave...lol
