To Chill out- sorry it was a typo, 7.0 I mean.

To Suzanne- I think the better term for that would be transferee. Yes, a second courser is the one who actually finished one degree and then took up nursing.

you dont have to pass all 7.0 in just one sitting .
I was under the impression that was only accepted if done in one sitting.

oh.. a friend of mine just informed me that you can merge the result of your exams taken from different dates.. until you get all 7.0 in all areas.. great huh?

you have to take all the exams within 12months..

Hi Everyone,

Is it true that Golden Summit now charges P 500,000 from the nurses? It seems all are included though including allowances and plane fares.

Any feedback?

Thanks

just do the processing by yourself. total expenses would probably amount to 400k including plane fare and pocket money for 3 months in new zealand.

you could save 100k . you can use it for your additional pocket money

trust me , you do not need an agency to process your application for NZ. goodluck

its P450,000.. if you mean personal allowance? no, its not included.. according to my previous agent, they will give you back the refund from plane ticket (since you need to get a back-and-forth ticket) once you get your working visa after 3 months.

i think its cheaper to do it on your own, without the help of consultancy.. but if you find it hard to process your papers alone.. then its better to opt for golden summit.. their fee is P60,000 .. which is already included with the 450,000.

Latest news from the Nursing Council of New Zealand website:

What's New:

English language testing policy changed
The Council has changed its policy on English language testing for overseas applicantsfor New Zealand registration with effect from 1 August 2008.

The Council has determined that while a pass of a minimum of seven in each band is still required, this no longer needs to be achieved in a single sitting of the IELTS test but can be gained over a succession of tests. Applicants may now obtain a score lower than seven in one band and resit IELTS to gain a seven in the same band at another time. The total of seven in each band must be achieved within 12 months of first sitting the test.

Also, all overseas applicants for New Zealand registration whose applications are received on or after 1 January 2009, including applicants from English speaking countries, will be required to successfully complete an English language assessment to be registered in New Zealand, except for Australian applicants applying under TTMR legislation.

Yeah,..I've attended Golden Summit orientation last 2 weeks.. the information that we needed on how to work in NZ was very enticing..but I became disheartened when they told us to that we sould have at least 1 year or more of working experience....well guess that we have to do some volunteer service before lodging our application to their consulatancy...
