Foreign nurses in states


hello there...i just want to ask about what i have read recently in the leading newspaper, the writer said that foreign nurses in states earned a lower salary compare to nurses who are white with a same position..is that true? why is that so? I think its unfair!

Accdg to my friend who is from San Francisco, he said that within the city, they're not hiring foreign nurses who don't have at least 1 year experience. And for top hospitals across US, as far as I know, they don't get foreign fresh grads nurses. But for what u asked about the salary and position, well I don't think it matters most whether ur american or not, it is ur performance anyway not the race or skin color. Hehhehe...

it depends on your experience because America has a lot of competetive nurses especially in doing therapeutic communication. everybody here in the US is treated the same, it just depends on how good you are in caring for the patients and your NCLEX counts too off course

pay really depends on your years of experience.i have more than 10 years experience in the philippines and i am on my fifth year here in the us.i am paid in accordance to 15 years experience.i work with some american graduate nurses and they get the starting pay.
