hey guys. i just got my license last feb 2009. i took the nle last nov 2008. i just want to ask you guys if you know any hospitals here in manila/qc that accepts volunteers. i know all the time we nurses specially us new ones get exploited, but its better than nothing. i mean i tried the call center business and got employed in convergys. the job was light, pay is good but something is still wrong. i just feel its a waste with my time. so i resigned from convergys. i stayed there just for over 2 months. i want to pursue my nursing career now. can you guys help me...

i guess there would be more opportunities in the provinces than in manila.

ospital ng maynila is accepting volunteers (went there last august)...i think it's a month of a volunteer axperience there and i think extending upto two months if you want..we're on the same batch...and completed some of the basic requirements or i might say trainings that some hospital might require you to have..why dont you try to have an IVT first?it's a plus for you...it's just a piece of advice. =)


anyway,the thread is about nurse volunteers...try to search here. a lot of threads also post like what you're asking.

san juan medical center is accepting volunteers. they have volunteers under the Nursing Department and they also accept volunteers in the Pulmonary Department.

just bring all your documents including resume. I volunteered in the Pulmonary Department last june since the Nursing Department wasn't hiring volunteers yet. i submitted my resume at the Pulmonary Department, the staff interviewed me and I was scheduled to start immediately. There's a line for jeepneys for San Juan from Cubao. It's near the MRT station, just ask around. The San Juan Medical Center is at the back of the San Juan Municipal Center.
