being a nurse in my country...


It is a fact—nursing is the #1 course in the Philippines…proof? 1.) The only field that has huge number of examines- November 2008 figure reaches to 88,750 examinees 2.) Some of those who attained the highest profession give up their career and enrolled into nursing like lawyers, doctors… as it is believed there is great money on this profession –if could work abroad. The scary figure on this Profession is increasing each year from the graduates and those unemployed. The health care industry may have huge budget allocation but corruption is mainly creating negative impact to the health care system, thus everyone is affected. And for the newly licensed graduates the act of sacrifice is being demonstrated through “volunteerism” , it may not justifiable as at times this status is being abused by some superiors but this is the reality a newly Nurse must face these days…
