Go for the CA license at this point.............And do you actually want to work in Utah?

I would not bother with the CGFNS exam. NCLEX can be written in London. I definitely suggest this route for you.

I still would not go that route, especially if you have the ATT already, or are close to getting it. I do not remember now. As soon as you pass the exam, you can endorse to Utah, and just go thru the endorsment process. The immigration law only states that you need to pass NCLEX or CGFNS before the immigration process can be started, it says nothing about having to have the actual license in hand. You are just making more work for yourself.

NO. Not the exam, but only the CES from CGFNS.

Hello! Illinois is a CGFNS state and needs the CGFNS certificate in order to be eligible to take the NCLEX RN exam. There are only 4 states that doesn't require to take the CGFNS exam. This are Florida, California, texas, y\uhmm... i forgot the other one.

The rest including Illinois require a CGFNS certificate. The Illinois BON will not allow you to take the exam if you do not have the CGFNS certifcate.

Sorry, but all your info are outdated. Illinois ceased to require the CGFNS certificate since June-July of 2005 and only requires the CES. CGFNS would waive the CES fee if you applied for the certification program last NOv. 2005 since the official word came out late and many already applied for the Certification program at least 3-4 mos before the Nov. exams. Otherwise, it's just the CES and you have to pay the fee for new applications.

Best bet is to go directly to the BON's website. If you don't know the website, you can go to www.ncsbn.org for a list of your prospective BONs website.

If you're source was from another forum that had linked the info. from CGFN's. That was outdated too. Notice the dates on that CGFNS bulletin. Go directly to the BON's website for up-to-date information on requirements.
