Almost all states right now, require for CES through CGFNS. and you cannot get that if you dont pass the NLE.. cause it require Verification of License in the origin of Country.
I just want to correct this one. CGFNS doesn't require a license/NLE for them to come up with a CES. Yes it has a License Verification form but if you don't have a license, then CGFNS won't argue with that. The main purpose of the CES is to compare your nursing training to that of the US. Now, if your State of choice requires a nursing license/NLE, then that's the time you'll provide CGFNS with your license so it will reflect on the CES report. Also, even if the State doesn't require a local license, and you have one, then you must provide CGFNS with that. But again, if you don't have one, and the States doesn't require one, it's fine.
But I want to warn you guyz that even if a State doesn't require a local license it's almost required to have one since there's a recession and retrogression in the US. Where will you acquire the hospital experience needed to apply as a nurse overseas. And almost every country requires a local license and perhaps some experience.
(of course, those with immigrant status to these countries MAYBE exempted)
God Bless!
