Re: AFP medical center RN residency
The first step is to call the NETB of VLGH @ 4262701 loc 6942..politely ask for the schedule of the next examination for the RN-Residency Program...since the 2nd batch is graduating this August, more likely the 3rd batch is starting their didactic phase already...there are two batches in a year March-August and August-March...after confirming that there would an exam, I strongly suggest that you visit the office to pre-register...you need to be patient...I belong to the pioneer batch, I took the exam last March '08 and started August of the same year...
After passing the written examination, you'll be given the list of requirements. Then there would a competency exam--skills examination, next is the interview with the military head nurses. This is a critical phase coz this would determine your designated clinical area. After would be a 2 weeks didactic phase, a day of return demo of the various nursing skills, IV training (if you still don't have it..)and at last 6 months of clinical experience.
Well, the key is to do good at the written examination. It's true that almost majority of the applicants have their backers but the experience is worth trying!
