paoli hospital plans to file for trauma center ok
submitted a letter of intent friday with the pennsylvania trauma systems foundation
outlining its plan to open a level-ii trauma center.
chester county, pa., has been without a trauma center since brandywine hospital closed its trauma center in mid-2002. it is the only county in southeastern pennsylvania without a designated trauma center.
paoli hospital plans to work in collaboration with thomas jefferson university hospital in philadelphia, a level-i trauma center operator, to develop a trauma program at paoli hospital with the goal of becoming accredited in 2011....
