by divaINscrubs Nov 30, '11I am new to this forum and i had a few questions about schools in Pa, particularly LPN programs. I have been accepted to Fortis Institute in Scranton, Pa. they are approved by the State board of nursing but NOT accredited by the NLNAC. I also looked into another program in Scranton called Center for Career Technology and they are accredited by the NLNAC and approved by state board of nursing. my question is.. does the accrediation make a difference when pursuing a job although the NLNAC is a voluntary process? I dont believe either school i pick will transfer credits to a RN program, because most don't, but i could be wrong... I really need help deciding which way to go and all replies are appreciated.. thanks
