I think the market is tough for new grads no matter the specialty here right now.

Degree change and new grad with extern experience in Mother/Baby.

The market is tough for new grads; unless you can get a position with your preceptorship experience, you will still be considered a new grad; if you have your BSN, apply to the local Peds hospitals, as well as try to get experience somewhere as a base for your nursing skills.
