Looking for a group of nurses in SW PA

Hi,

I'm relatively new to nursing. Most of my friends aren't nurses, and it's sometimes hard to relate about jobs. I was wondering if there are any social groups for nurses anyone knows of in the SW PA region.

Where in sw pa? I'll be moving to the Greensburg area in May...I don't even know if thats techincally considered sw haha. But I won't know anyone...just got a job at UPMC Presby, strating in June.

Congrats on your job! Which dept? I am currently at Shadyside, med-surg/onc. But I worked near Greensburg (Latrobe) so I'm used to the country too :-) Keep us posted on the move/ new job!

It's a telemetry unit that sees alot of cardiac patients for surgeries, stents, chf, etc... How do you like shadyside and where are u living now?

Shadyside is a pretty nice hospital. I really can say I've never worked with a better group of people. Though I have realized I am not meant to be a med-surg RN :-)

I live in Latrobe! I'm an LPN that will be graduating in june from conemaugh school of nursing in johnstown. currently debating where i want to work. i need to decide soon though, not many jobs left around these parts!
