LaSalle MSN Adult & Gero NP Program

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Published

Hi,

I got the acceptance from LaSalle for Adult and Gerontology program, and will start this fall. Just wanted to ask a few questions regarding the program. Any inputs, especially from those who are currently in the program or have graduated recently, would be helpful.

How good is the program? How demanding?

How are the professors like?

Would the college help us in finding preceptors for clinicals? (I live in Philly)

Jobs after graduation?

Any other thoughts?

Thanks for your help,

Urbashi

Hi, I am an FNP student at LaSalle and am getting ready to start my final year. The program is good and the professors I have had have all been very helpful, knowledgeable, and encouraging. Doing 1-2 classes a term while working is very doable. They are even starting to offer more of the classes available in an optional on-line format.

The one downside of the program is that they do not help you find clinical sites at all. While I was told they try to help, it seems as if they are enrolling more and more students and can not keep up with the clinical demands of all of us. I recommend starting to find clinical sites early.

I have not started the job search yet and am not sure if LaSalle has any resources to help with job placement, but I doubt it
