Increase in license fee

Is it just me, or did anyone else notice that the RN license renewal fee increased to a whopping $65!! I just did my renewal online, and was shocked to see the new amount. Somehow, though, I am not surprised because many states are hiking such fees to supplement their revenues since other taxes have taken a hit in this economy. Interesting to me that it doesn't happen until we get a republican governor.
