Hello All-

I applied to the ACE program for Spring 2013 start date. Just wondering if there is any one else out there who will be playing the waiting game for the next several weeks/months ;)

Its all private loans, a little from Fafsa, apparently :/. I;ve applied to live in the grad student housing building at the center city campus, Stiles Hall. Anyone else? Also, a facebook group is in the works. I will create a post with the link when its up.

Congratulations to all those who have been accepted to ACE program!

Just got accepted to Drexel ACE for spring 2013- awesome.

Just wondering- what is the average that FAFSA is giving out? and, are we eligible to apply for FAFSA for two academic years seeing that we will do 2012-2013 (for the first quarter in April) and 2013-2014 (for all other quarters from Jun '13 to March '14?) anyone with any idea about this?

Congratulations to all those who have been accepted to Drexel ACE program!

I think I got like 5000? In stafford loans .. But that is all :( and yea u can apply twice for fasfa the bill for now is only for the first two quarters..( April to August? I think ?) I just know I have to pay half for now

I asked 's financial aid office about getting federal loans for 2012-2013 and 2013-2014. Because the program falls over these two academic years, we are billed 1/2 the costs upfront, then the 2013-2014 1/2 will be billed later. The loans work the same way - if you got the maximum award ($12,500), you get 1/2 of that for 2012-2013, and half for 2013-2014. I was hoping that we'd be eligible for double loans (since we are spread over 2 academic years), but that isn't the way it works. They also said that most people have to get private loans in addition, and I know that will be the case for me too. Hope that helps!

Hey all! Not weighing in on the financial side of things, but just wanted to say hi... I'm waiting to hear if I get accepted for the Spring 2013 with all of you. I'm finished all but one of my prereqs and my gpa for my undergrad, the 12 credits in grad courses, and prereqs is about 3.7 so I'm hoping that's high enough and that they still have enough spots open. Is there anyone who has recently applied or got accepted, or does anyone know of a number of slots still open?

I just was "accepted" yesterday - just a heads up!

Also - my first degree is from and I live & work in the area. I work at Jefferson so - any questions about the area etc. feel free to message me or whatever - I've been down here for 4 yearsish and live outside the city and commute in every day.

J2Wallace- Just out of curiosity, how long ago did you apply?

I technically applied in earlyish April / May - I still had some pre-reqs to tidy up.

Ok, thanks. I applied 2 weeks ago and have 1 more pre-req this semester but I'm hoping for a preliminary acceptance soon. They are waiting for one more transcript which they should have received by Thursday or Friday at the latest. I'm going to call on Monday and if they haven't received it yet, I will probably go pick it up from the school and drop it off at since I live just outside of Philly.

Just got accepted to the ACE Spring 2013 program! I am from Oregon and got my Bachelor's at the University of Arizona so I'm not familiar with Philadelphia at all! Any suggestions on where to live?

Hi arulli! I was accepted for Spring 2013 and was excited to see that you went to school at the University of Arizona. I actually just graduated from Arizona State and am from Arizona. What did you get your bachelor's degree in? When are you planning on making the move to Philly?

Hello Again.

So I am trying to get a private loan for this program. Only problem is almost everyone says I have to wait at least 3-6 months before the program starts to apply for loans. We all know that we have a 60 day period to give a final answer as to whether or not we accept. How are the rest of you dealing with this dilemma?

Can anyone suggest private loans that they are using? I am just in over my head and I want to go to this program so bad, but I DO NOT want to be stuck paying for tuition and not have a means to pay.

Anyone else in this situation??
