CCAC Spring 2013 hopefuls!

Just wanted to start a thread for those who applied to CCAC for this upcoming Spring semester. What were your stats when you applied? What campus did you select? What are your nursing goals? I applied with a 3.8 GPA with Micro completed (as well as Eng Comp 1 & Psych 101). In currently taking a&P 1, Eng Comp 2 & MAT 108. I applied to Allegheny Day & I hope to become either a L&D nurse, nurse at Children's hospital or NICU nurse :)

I'm in 21C. Did we ever find out where our clinicals are? Haha, it says on my schedule online "Allegheny Hospital Site," but I'm not sure if it that means Allegheny General Hospital or just Allegheny campus..

We start the first 5 weeks at Kane hospital.

I'm not positive, but I believe we get split into different locations. I know Glen Hazel is one of them. I'm not sure of the other locations.

I have never worn CCAC scrubs for sale if anyone is interested in buying them. XS top/Jacket and Small/petite drawstring flare pants. $45 will ship.

I went back to ask Mrs Nanju & she said the lady that handles it wasn't here today and not to worry about it. We'll watch them sometime Monday or get the link.

does anyone else feel even more lost after the orientation at Allegheny today then before they went? lol. There was way too much to absorb at one time.

Yeah there was alot, but mostly just the rules/regulations which aren't too hard to comprehend...don't miss class or act like a jerk! LOL

I'm excited for Monday to arrive. Oh and I'm sooo happy to be going to Bridgeville instead of Glen Hazel for Kane. I live like 20 minutes from the Bridgeville one and idk how long it would take me to get to Glen Hazel with AM traffic...probably well over an hour.

hey ladies ! just wondering if anyone, specifically boyce students, saw where we have to do all the readings then do objectives? do you guys know what the profs mean by that? i looked in all the books and could not find anything relation to objectives. thanks!

Are your books in stock? Our books aren't even at the bookstore yet at Allegheny. I believe they just ordered them this past Thursday!

yeah i have all of my books already! they gave us the book list back in november! we were able to order online!

Yeah we had our book list since the end of November, but too bad Allegheny's bookstore wasn't prepared! Hopefully they'll be in tomorrow, although I'm dreading paying over $1,000 for them!!

Good luck to everyone! Tomorrow we start the beginning of no life for the next 2 years! Hope my kids understand that I'm doing this for them!
