Hi Everyone, I just got my acceptance letter today for ccac/calu spring 2010! I thought that it would be a good idea to start a thread for CALU. So that all of us that got accepted can get aquainted since we will be classmates and we can use this thread to share information about CALU & the program..............I am looking forward to meeting everyone!!:D

I'd like to say HI as well... Just got the CCAC/CALU letter. Trying to figure out what I got myself into!:D

Hi. I'll be in the cal day program also. Very excited. Hope a few people will get on this thread so we can get to know each other a bit. Christen had told me that you were from Elizabeth and signed up for a CPR class there. I live in Elizabeth too and if the class you found is cheaper than taking it at ccac I'd really apretiate any info you could give me about it. Thanx!

Hi congrats on getting in!! I am taking my cpr class at elizabeth township ems they have the class the last tuesday of every month they charge $35.00. How much is it at CCAC?

:anpom::anpom: :ancong!: :clpty:

I took it almost two years ago but I wanna say it was like a regular class, 300ish. Will you be going to the ems class this month? And do u need to register or sign up? If so where? Thanks for the info!

Wow! That is a lot of money for a CPR class. Anyway I am signed up for this month the class was not full yet when I signed up last week. I stopped in to register, but I think they have a phone number to call on their web site. Elizabeth township ems is right on 48 in the plaza where fox's pizza is. I wasn't sure if you knew where it was at. Maybe you can take the class with me this month!

Hi everyone! I too got my letter yesterday for CALU/CCAC Day. I'm excited to start the program and meet everyone. Congratulations to everyone!!!

So i was reading the ccac website and it said we needed to apply to Cal too? did anyone do this?

Christen did, I posted a question on the ccac 2010 thread about it. I will be at south campus on monday hopefully I can find out if we have to apply to cal for the non nursing courses. I also sent shanon wallace at cal an email about this. So I should have an answer on monday.:D

oh great, one more thing to worry about. Well, im glad u guys were on top of it already. let me know what you find out.

I will try to find out as well.. I promised my neighbor that I will go with her to the dean's office monday morning. We should be waiting in her office at 8am. Hopefully I can wrangle some more information out of them since everything is finally done.

The BLS course, it has to have the AED right? Looking at BLS courses for healthcare, some have it with AED, some don't. When I spoke with my advisor, all she told me was to do it on line then do the skills at health services.

here hoping the nursing packets don't take to long to get to us!

hello everyone!

I got my letter yesterday for the CCAC/Cal program too! This is a good idea betty, so we can all get acquainted!

This might be a stupid question but, here goes lol.. Is everyone going ASAP to schedule for their classes? or are you all just waiting to see what we get in the mail? I am scheduled for micro, i did it just in case, but i'm not sure if it will fit in with our schedule.. so I probably need to drop that

It feels good being in the "students" section of the website rather than "nursing programs" LOL

Looking forward to meeting everyone and keeping in touch!:yelclap:
