Good Day My Fellow Nurses, and Aspiring Nurses!!!

I am new to the Allnurses site, although I have been doing quite a bit of research on the site for months now. I am interested in applying for the new Second BSN program starting in Spring of 2015 @ Holy Family, and I need 4 out of the 5 prerequisites. In a nutshell I have been searching High and Low for accelerated formats OFFERED IN THE FALL 2014 semester for the following prerequisites( I have only been successful in finding these courses accelerated in the summer terms @ccp/bucks etc, but I would like to utilize Fin Aid for the Fall term):

Anatomy & Physiology 1

Anatomy & Physiology 2

Microbiology

Nutrition

I was hoping to accomplish the following:

A&P1& Nutrition 1st 7 weeks(I'm guessing most schools start between Aug/Sept)

A&P2& Micro 2nd 7 weeks( I'm going to guess and say that this term would start between Sept/ Oct meaning I would finish by Dec the latest).

This would in turn, make me eligible to start the program in January!!

Help Puullleeezzzz!!! Any help is greatly appreciated, and I appreciate everyone's time??

Good day, Mrsbeatty2be:

Your time line might not fit in, but if you are close to a Harrisburg Area Community College (hacc.edu), they have the above courses and are nationally accredited. The classes tend to be full semesters though.

Thank you.

7-week courses are only offered in the summer sessions, at least at CCP; I don't know about Bucks.

FWIW, most of these courses are best utilized during the 14 week semester, although they may be a few offered at a 10-week session.

These classes are popular and they may be full as of right now; most people schedule their classes in the Spring semester.

If you already have filled out a FAFSA, you may still have a chance to get aid; but if you haven't, best to get started now.

You will have to pace yourself, due to the fact that these courses fill up; your best bet is to contact these schools and find out what classes are available to you and sit down with an advisor to be prepared for getting into Holy Family.

Thanks so very much for the help ladies!!!! I truly appreciate it. I found several of the above courses offered through Manor College I believe the nutrition is 7 weeks the rest are the standard 14 week semester. If I can register for A&P 1, Nutrition and Microbiology, I wonder if Holy Family would allow the A&P2 as a co-requisite. I will definitely call to speak with an advisor to check on this. Thank you again ladies
