Arrghhh! I let my PA RN license expire!

I have not been working as a PA RN since 2012 as I have been working in a different field. I have, however, been keeping on top of my required CEUs. Like an idiot, I let my license expire-it has been expired for 3 weeks. I did renew online but I am sure there are more steps I need to take to renew-fines etc. For the life of me I cannot find any information about what to do if your license has expired. I had it set as an "Active" license, as I have always been looking to get a nursing job. I did take a refresher course in the past year.

My question is-how do I renew my license?!

Contact a person at the Board and ask. Surely, if there is an expeditious way to do it, they will help.

You may have to resit the NCLEX. I also have a CT license and I think between 60-90 days if you do not renew it you are required to resit. But call up just incase!

In PA, you can keep renewing the license, as long as you have money...and it's only been 3 weeks.

Pay the renewal fee and you should be fine; just call for clarification.

That is probably the greatest news. I would rob a bamk before sitting for that exam.

I got my license today in the mail. I didn't contact the PA BON and they never contacted me. What a relief!
