Aria School of Nursing September 2012

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Published

Hi all, I'm new to this site (just joined today). But I've been lurking for a few weeks. I'm applying for the Aria Health SON and would love to meet others who are applying for the September 2012 academic year.

:)I applied for the fall too!!! I am so excited and scared at the same time! I am currently attending BCC in NJ, but the program is so competitive there. The chance of me getting in there is slim to none. How are you with your pre-req's?

Specializes in ER, IICU, PCU, PACU, EMS.

Moved to Pennsylvania nursing programs for more of a response.

Hi eagerlywaiting! (Funny I almost chose that screenname myself lol) I'm doing really well on my pre-req's, I'm taking them at CCC which is very competitive too!! I will only have to finish up AP II and Eng 2 in the Spring Semester. I aced AP I and Chem so I feel pretty comfortable going in to AP II, but I still fully intend to work my butt off. Currently I'm studying for the TEAS V which I take at the end of the month. Have you taken it already?

Hello everyone! I also appiled to Aria for September 2012! Has anyone taken the TEAS test yet? I am registered to take it next week and I am extremely nervous. Well, I hope we can all talk and help eachother out through here! Looking forward to it :) and good luck with the whole process!

Also, I was just wondering how and when do we get access to the applicant checklist login? Thank you so much!

Hi Amber! I haven't taken the TEAS yet, I take it in two weeks. Best of Luck to you. What books are you using to study for it? Also, I was able to access the applicant checklist already. The site is https://fhsonis.fhcs.org/sonisweb200/. I just went to applicant login. Then I hit the "forgotten ID/pswd and they will email it to you.

Hope this helps!

Thank you so much! I actually thought to do that but didn't think it would work lol. My checklist lists something called a 'Disclosure Statement' with a 'No' next to it, do you know what this is?

And I am using the ATI study guide that I purchased online, but unfortunately was not able to get their practice tests too, although there are two in the back of the book. I am also using some old biology books of mine to help refresh my memory. I am very nervous about the science portion of the test!

I'm using the McGraw Hill 5 TEAS practice book. It was an I opener! There were so many things I assumed I knew and actually got wrong!

I'm not quite sure what that Disclosure Statement means, but I'm sure that you can call Julie and she'd tell you.

I was thinking of getting that book as well but since my test is next week, I figure it's too late now.

Julie said that the disclosure statement is not something that they use in their admissions process but they can not remove it from the checklist.

Hi guys I actually applied & got accepted for January 2012 but was deferred until September. @Amber when do you take you TEAS? I ordered the ATI study guide a week before the test & skimmed through it the night before just to get an idea of the material. As for science it was basically physical science, anatomy & physiology and a little chemistry. Math was algebra, measurements and detail based word problems.English was grammar, spelling & critical thinking. The ATI book does give a great indication of what to expect.Just breathe & get a good night of rest! :-)

Hope to see you guys in September! :-)
