Hello!

I am going to be attending Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in the fall of 2011.

I was hoping to meet some people before hand!

at least with that we can update things all the time no problem!!

Aubie... I too sent a request, to join, but maybe I didn't do it right? I will go and double check after this.

My real name is unusual, (for a girl) and most would probably think I am a boy.... which is what my parents wanted! I wanted to let you know, incase you thought someone was creeping around! My profile picture picture is of me and my fiance, so you could easily think HE is the one trying to be friends, based on MY name! haha I am probably confusing you... but anyway, I am going to request now.... thanks!

haha I'll take a look!! don't worry about it! my name is weird too! parents come up with the funnest names!!

okay! I got your request and I'll add you as soon as I get home! it won't let me do it over my phone (downfall to the iPhone!)

ok....No problem... and no hurry! My name has always gave me problems.... I even got put in the boys gym class, in middle school! Ha Talk soon!

if you check it now you should be added! if not send it again!!! haha people just have a hard time pronouncing my name! I have to tell everyone it's pronounced "AWE-BEE" haha it always entertaining!

Specializes in Trauma SICU.

Hey everyone. I'm actually a current Mercy student, but I'm taking a leave of absence and will be joining your class for Med-Surg next April.

My words of advice:

Take every class you can before entering. The nursing classes are rough.

Attendance may be optional, but they really mean mandatory. Go to class!

It's a very, very small school so be nice to everyone. The instructors WILL know your name.

Get involved with SNAP and Student Association.

Cherokee and Koi make the best white scrub pants, and socks need to be white.

Always leave the bed in the lowest position when leaving the room!

well hello! haha thanks for the advice! feel free to find our facebook page I made! I'm sure the other girls in the group have a ton of questions they'd like ask and it would be awesome if you could answer some!!

Thanks Annie for the advice! It was nice of you to offer us some suggestions. Come and join the FB page, if you can! We are all so new to this.. and curious about everything! We wondered what days the clinicals were, and the hours... like an average schedule... things like that. :)
