Has anyone checked out the petitioning changes for 2014? Some include GPA and TEAS requirements. Thought it was interesting and pleased that its behind me... Looking ahead to this September and Nursing 110! :0)

New requirements for the TEAS no longer look at the Individual Score. It looks at the individual score for each section.

Hey, I'm an Lpn and I got accepted to the LPN -RN program at DCCC.. The transition course starts 5/28. It's 6 weeks... I have two semesters of nursing to do starting this fall... Ill grad 5/14. I took the teas and scored 72% 68 in science and 89 in reading. The requirements have changed for admission 9/14. They no longer consider your overall score. And a 70% is required in reading. All of the requirements have went up.... I did not find the teas impossible.. I also didn't study too hard. I just brushed up on YouTube. If anyone can give me a heads up on what I'm about to get into that will b great.... I'm currently taking microbiology and pharmacology... Micro is for bsn and pharm is a co req for dccc program.

Rasheedah, I'm also accepted for 2013. I'm finsihed all my prereqs. I just need my nursing elective (Probably going to be pharm too, how was it?). Only 4 weeks til we start the bridge class! Inbox me so I can give you my cell number. We can keep in touch with everything.

I also rushed to have all my bloodwork, health insurance, & CPR training finished by the 1st and then they extended the deadline lol I'm told all the instructors are very helpful

Anyone whos graduated with RN from DCCC : have you found it hard to get a job without a BSN? I'm wondering whether or not I should go try to transfer to a 4 year to do BSN or if I should just do DC3 or MC3's RN programs and then try to do a bridge program at a 4 year....

I'm currently in my first year at dccc and I would suggest you stick with dccc. They recently partnered up with drexel to offer a rn to bsn program that you can be dual enrolled in. This would cut down the amount of time it takes to complete your bsn to about 1-2 years depending on what classes you have already taken.
