Hi!

im from pittsburgh pa and i am doing my pre reqs at ccac, i was wondering if anyone was applying for the hospital nursing programs for fall 2012?:)

I am at CCAC Boyce right now, but will be applying in the fall probably to Allegheny.

What I meant is I am taking my prereques at Boyce, but will be applying to Allegheny for Nursing school in the fall.

I'm at CCAC South doing pre-reqs. Applying to the South campus for Fall.

BTW - haven't seen it in writing, but a friend received an email from the nursing department and spoke with my med term proff.... The PAX is no longer a requirement to get into the nursing program. Admission is based on GPA and number of co-requisites completed....

Hope this doesn't turn ugly. In California, applicants with 4.0 GPAs are entered into a lottery for seats in the community college nursing programs...

Guess we'll see.

I'm applying for the fall nursing program at CCAC Allegheny. I'm doing LPN to RN so I would be joining the class that started last year though.

i just applied yesterday for the fall semester nursing program at south. i chose day as my frist choice and night as the second both at south. my name is melissa by the way. nice to meet you all and hopefully we all get accepted!

I'm doing my placement test tomorrow, and what are the pre reqs? Are you guys saying you can't just get accepted into the nursing program at ccac unless you have other classes done?

Yes you need classes before you can get in nursing. You needintro to biointro to chemand if you place below college level reading and math you need to take remedial classes.
