So I plan on graduating nursing school in May 2010 in NY and am looking to possibly move to philadelphia, I'm hoping by that time the economy has bounced back and more places are hiring. I was wondering if people could tell me about the hospitals in the city or surrounding area and the starting salary and whatever other fun/useful facts you may know. Thanks!
Presbyterian Hospital in Phila starts grad RNs at $27.00/hr.
Good Luck

Ever been to TEMPLE Philanurse74????????? $40 an hour seems low to me!!!! I make that in community ERs in Maryland. Would take $60-75 to get me at Temple again. I went there in the 70's didn't think a thing about taking the EL. HELL NO, not today.

Why yes, I have. I was questioning a starting salary of 40 an hour. Not doubting some experienced nurses make that wage, but not to start. I happen to have been very impressed with their care in the CICU when family was there. Yes, it's in a rough neighborhood, but can give EXCELLENT care, regardless.
