Vaccinations in the Hospital Setting

Is anyone routinely giving pediatric patients immunizations while in the inpatient setting? If so, what kind of vaccines (mmr, flu, etc). Do you require written parental consent?
Thanks!

Yes, we require parental consent and we are also required to submit the data to the NY State database, NYSIIS. The floors do not give a lot of vaccinations, but our NICU and Peds ED does.

Our hospital gives a significant number of inpatient immunizations due to the patient population we serve. The most common ones are Synagis, DpTaP, and flu. Most often we contact the public health office and they'll bring the vaccines in to the hospital and actually give the immunizations. They also document for the province. In the fall we have a flu clinic and will given anyone who comes into the hospital, including visitors, free flu shots; they're also documented for public health purposes.
