    CafCit (caffiene citrate) Side Effects/Study:

    http://health.discovery.com/webapps/...getype=results

Discoveryhealth.com is one of my favorite sites to use for looking up drugs, as well as webmd.com - you should try both.

Also, if neither of those work- I recommend calling a hospital or regular pharmacy and asking them for information on the drugs- most places have 'inserts' of drugs that they might be willing to give you a copy of.

Also remember, caffeine is a stimulant, so side effects may include restlessness, tachycardia, etc.
Ampicillin is an antibiotic- it kills bacteria (as well as the good bacteria in the intestinal tract) so it can cause diarrhea, a very common side effect, as well as nausea and vomiting. Ampicillin and Gentamycin are 2 antibiotics given to neonates to prevent infection, and are very strong.

    I hope this helps!

If you need more neonatal drug help in the future, try the book "NeoFax" On the nursing unit or maybe in your hospital library. There is a PDA version, if you have one... I think Ross Pediatrics offers a free version. http://www.rosspediatrics.com/asp/newsletter.asp
Also Harriet Lane, another peds floor/nursery must-have has a lot of drug info in the center.
