I want to deliver babies and care for infants.

by kenigka

So I am an undergraduate student in my 4th year of schooling. I've recently decided to go into nursing/medicine, and I'm trying to figure out the best track to get there. I am not sure if I want to go the Nurse Practitioner route or the Physician Assistant route. I want to work with pregnant women, deliver babies, and care for the infants after birth. Can anyone tell me if one of those choices would be better for what I want to do? To go into nursing, I am going to have to finish my undergrad in Psychology and then go into an Accelerated BSN program and then go into a NP program. If I were to do PA, I could graduate with my undergrad in Psych and go straight to my masters in PA. I'm willing to do either, I just want to figure out which one would be a better choice for me.
