How can I become more marketable?

Hi,
I am thinking about making the switch to pediatrics. Peds is what I originally wanted to do but never did. I have been an RN, BSN since 1991.

For personal reasons though, most of my years were spent working part time in Long Term Care. Since 2005 I have been working full time in Hospice. I have been full time on call, not a case managager. I did work briefly, less than a year each, in 2 different hospitals. One in 1991, and the other in 1996 so it has been quite a while.

How can I make myself more marketable for pediatrics?

Also, what resources, class, books etc would be good to read as I prepare myself for this career change?

Blessings,
Cinda
