Alligator clamps

Just a cute story I wanted to share:

I was starting an IV on this little 4 year old. She cried, but then was better and I was showing her the IV fluids and how they hook up and it's not another "owie." I showed her the alligator clamp and flexed it and said, "See, it looks like an alligator!"

She must have thought this was pretty cool. After about 30 minutes or so I came back into the room to mess with the monitor or hang an antibiotic or something and the little girl is stroking her alligator clamp and kinda mumbling under her breath. I ask her, "what are you doing?" Her response, "Oh, I'm just talking to my alligator."

She was so adorable! Her mom and I both busted up laughing. What a sweet little girl! I just love kids.
