Kylie, have you read some of the threads in this forum? Some of them offer very good advice on what to expect on the peds unit, how to interact with kids and parents, med administration tips and a lot of other stuff. There are some threads in the PICU forum that would help you too. You might want to do an archives search (keyword pediatrics) if you don't find anything helpful.
