Textbook Recommendations for a Post Partum Nurse

  1. 0 Hi all! I have been a post partum nurse for almost three years now. I am currently waiting to begin school to obtain my bachelor's degree. I love my job, I love what I do. Caring for babies is my passion! In fact, I also can't decide between becoming a midwife or a NP working with pediatric patients. So... lately, I've been thinking a lot about what we, nurses, teach new moms. And believe me, I've been thinking about things that could go wrong and thank goodness nothing bad has ever really happened while at work. If anything ever happens I want to be prepared! Since I don't have my textbooks from nursing school anymore I thought I'd ask you all if you had any recommendations for brushing up on post partum/labor and delivery nursing. Can anybody recommend any good books for great up to date information? I want to read up about everything having to deal with having a baby. Thanks in advance!! I am excited to learn as much as I can.
