Fractured my 3rd metatarsal

by j7391

I broke my 3rd metatarsal two weeks ago, for the first week i was in a bandage and told to keep all presure off it, a week ago I went for a check up and they decided that it was time to put a just under the knee cast on and fit a shoe for easy walking they said to try and put pressure on it but never specified how much or duriation, I dont have any pain coming from the foot so have now ditched the cruches and just walk on the cast on shoe, however I am worried about putting pressure on it for to long in case I do any more injury to it,Has anyone had an expirence like this before and done the same, and if I was doing any more damage to the foot would it hurt?
Thanks in advace
