- Nov 21, '11 by aquarius04I just recently made the switch from assisted living to a patient care technician at a hospital. For the most part it is not that different, the biggest difference is that I take vital signs, take an EKG, get specimens and assist the nurses more often. I also feel that there is more of a sense of helping each other out in the hospital. You will also be able to see a lot more in the hospital rather than the assisted living facility.

- Nov 29, '11 by JmsicaIt can be very busy depending on the type of floor. From what i've heard from the girls i work with, none of them have regretted their decision to switch. You do more, so the time flys. And you get SO much experience.
