Rn's with chronic pain on narcotics

I am updating my staus.Still have moderate pain but pretty well control on 100 mcg patch got strenght back in my extremities, able to void now, but still have disienpack myself. have got feeling back in 50% of pelvic area. I am now going try try to look for work in homehealth in the near future. I am nervous about employers rejecting me on my injury history and use of narcotics. In addition, there was a study this year american medical ass. chronic pain patients using heavy narcotics for several years and people with no narcotics on board. these test consist of driving coarses, cognitive test, and other test of perception. the chronic patiens on narcotics scored exactly same as none narcotic subjects proving that these people able to work and drive without any dangers. i beleive if a doctor clears you and you have your levels tested seeing you are not abusing your medicine should be able to work. thanks Trauma
