    Based on the results of a survey of physicians who treat seriously ill patients, Dr. Diane Meier, Director of Mount Sinai School of Medicine's Center to Advance Palliative Care and Hertzberg Palliative Care Institute, finds that most doctors lack pain management training and simply do not know how to relieve their patients' suffering.
