Just an observation...

by kk2000

Just reading through some of the posts on this forum, it's been a while, and I am a chronic pain patient myself. (Ehlers Danlos, 6 herniated discs ) Always looking for new info.

Anyway, what is amazing to me is that you are "damned if you do, damned if you don't" Patients in the ER are suspect if they are acting "normal", yet they are suspect if they are moaning or writhing in pain. Go figure.

I would rather medicate 10 folks that are trying to scam a few vicoden, then allow one person in pain to go without. I have been there, not beliived, treated like a liar. If I had had the guts I would have ended it all. Nothing worse than not being believed. Some of us go to doctors for years and years until we finally find the one that listens and tests and diagnosis.

Please don't judge everyone by a few bad apples.

Thank you
