PACU RN's

by Beaner

I work in a pediatric hospital in the PACU. Since we do not have a night shift staff all of us PACU nurses share taking call for emergency surgeries. Currently we have 2 RNs on call during those hours. However, we are wondering if other pediatric hospitals use LPNs or PCTs in their PACU as the second person - along with an RN? I know that adult PACU settings can use either LPNs or PCTs as the second person. Does anyone have any information regarding this issue?
