Ugh, haha I found this school maybe late September then went to an open house in October then finally decided a week later I was going to try to apply. I mean now that I think about it, I would love to get accepted for Spring but Fall may not be quite so bad, considering I would have to try and break a lease where I live now. Haha and the sad thing is I already have all the classes out of the way. Oh well I will figure something out if I don't get in.

Ok I have a question for everyone. I have taken many classes at different colleges so when I request my transcripts should I have them sent from a school if none of the classes would even transfer?

Hi KBM.

I would definitely send the transcripts even if your classes don't transfer. I originally applied for the fall and didn't send my transcripts because I thought the same thing. Well, the fall class ended up being full and so I am considered for Spring. Joann called me and said they need my transcripts because if I consider getting financial aid they need to see where I have previously received it. Now I am waiting again for my schools to send the info to UPMC and then hear from them. I would simply save yourself the trouble and just send them now. Good Luck!

thanks for responding to my question kellyjo. I ended up just sending them all in anyways just to be on the safe side

But I do have another question for everyone. Since it is so close to the deadline how long should I wait before I call and verify they have all the documents they need? The received my application on Friday but I don't know how long I should wait to check and make sure they have all my transcripts and such.

You might want to email or call Natalie as soon as possible. Don't feel as if you are bothering them because your persistence is something they should respect. She will get back to you and let you know the status of everything. She got back to me with the answers to any questions I had almost immediately.

I ended up sending my packet in last Monday, they recieved it Tuesday morning. I emailed her yesterday afternoon to ask if she had received everything she needed from me, she responded first with "I plan on pulling those no later than Thursday of this week. I know that information regarding you had come in. I will process it and respond via email." then the following day I received an email saying "There are spaces currently, however, we review files in the order in which they were received. I am still working on your file along with others."

Didnt get to much information out of her, but Im guessing that means she has everything? I hope

Thanks for the replies everyone. I think I am going to give her a call tomorrow I sent it out tues but sine wed was a holiday they didn't get it till fri so hopefully by tomorrow they can tell me if all my stuff came in.

Ravenx2012 im just curious when you guessed that they may not send out the next set of letters till they received your responses, when exactly is your deadline for accepting? just wondering when I should start sleeping by my mailbox

I do not have the exact date in front of me, but it was before any of the information sessions. I just went to the information session, so the date is now past due.

Things learned at the information session that have gone unanswered but questioned in this forum ....

Capacity of the class is approximately 100 people. Classrooms are not that big, but the "class" is divided into several sections and class schedules made for each section. IE. A & P for one group may be in early morn, late morn for another group and afternoon if there is a third and so on.

However on a side note, those accepting now have a whole new set of deadlines .... clearances background checks physicals vaccinations .. etc .... Clearances have to be back January 4th. Sooo..... a small surmise may be that if those with acceptances now fail any of said clearances by January 4th, then there is still time for other perspective students waiting for letters to be accepted and still have time for physicals, vaccinations, their clearances, and a CPR class if any of that stuff is needed. That is a big big BIG surmise though... Just trying to figure out why the January 4th deadline myself for the clearances... in the letter it says clearances may take 4 to 6 weeks to get back. This letter was sent to us a little under 8 weeks from the deadline. Considering letters were held up by UPMC for tuition confirmation, this really puts a crunch on getting these back on time, especially over Holidays, when Government employees are taking extended breaks. I am not thrilled about it .. but I sent out everything overnight in hopes to get it al back in time. The lettter stated that if clearances are not received by the deadline that the extension of your acceptance will be revoked. EEEK! ... praying whoever gets my case file at the FBI and Child abuse centers does not choose to go on some 3 week vacation.

Side note ... signup list for my information session had about 20 some names on it about 17 showed up .. so I think 4 or 5 may not have shown .... this may be good news as potentially early withdraws ... However it was the first session of four and they may hustle to make one of the other sessions.
