AugustRain, as of now I am planning on going with Drexel's housing so I would not need a car to get to class. It's just that I own a car and can't decide if I need it or not. I suppose it all depends on where I end up for clinicals--I hear some are as far as Delaware! I have done the owning a car in a city thing and all it brings is dents and endless parking tickets. But if I need it to get to hopsitals that are far away, i guess I will have to deal!

I applied in December but was missing transcripts etc. and it took a long time to complete, so i am under review as of feb 17 and am waiting for an acceptance letter now. They have assured me that there is still space in the fall 09 class.

I'll be traveling to philly in a few weeks to attend the ace program this spring. I am getting nervous about all this talk from people who are in the program!

Anyone else coming for the spring semester on here? I will be living in Stiles Hall and will hopefully be parking my car in the large garage across the street from the apartment building.

Hi! You won't need it much your first semester as you go to clinical 1x/wk/6wks.

Hi everyone, I've posted before but just wanted to say that I will definitely be attending the ACE Fall 2009 program. I'm looking into the financial aid portion of all of this. Has anyone met with a financial aid counselor yet? Any advice?

Hi!

My best advice would be to see the financial aid people in person at the Hahnnemahn campus well before orientation. You may spend more time there initially bc of waiting in the office but it will save you time in the long run.

Do not rely on the phone service. Every encounter with the phone financial aid service left me frustrated and ready to crawl up the wall! You will usually wait atleast 40 minutes on the phone and they often do not know your particular situation or have access to your records in the way that in person counsellors do.

While you are at the financial office, I would also see the computer guy in the library. He can help you set up your computer to the Drexel system if you are not a computer whiz.

Good Luck!

I second that advice...I got so much help when I went to meet with a financial aid person at the Hahneman campus. The computer guys are great too, you can pretty much just hand over your computer and they'll make everything work in about 5 minutes.
